@skelerenwrites pays a visit to the Lord
It wasn’t often that Sanguinous left the green country, the much-traveled yet still unsettled region in which he had established Castle Carmilla and the beginnings of his reign. Indeed, Sanguinous has been far more absent than is even his usual custom: the loss of Amalia had shuttered him away from all the rest of the world, but the gaining of Lilith had seen him further sequestered in his chambers. This visit to Szarr’s palace is the first he has taken since the loss of eternal love and the reintroduction of his enchanting heart.
Sanguinous is not alone when he swans into the hall of the palace: he has brought his retinue, as is befitting of him. His bodyguard stands away and apart but ever alert, his servants waiting neatly in a line behind her. At his side, where she has been since finding her place in Carmilla, is Lilith—the only member of the retinue with eyes that reflect something other than blood red back out onto the world.
“Come, cos,” Sanguinous announces jovially, approaching Cazador with arms extended as in offer of an embrace, “and greet me as a loved one should! Your home is not much changed, though the city around it certainly has.”
Of course Sanguinous had brought his entire retinue with him. Cazador had expected some such thing to occur, so he was glad he'd already prepared with a few extra humanoids awaiting in the dining hall. Cazador had been surprised when his long-time ally and perhaps the closest thing he'd had to a friend had contacted him for an audience.
He knew well that Sanguinous had suffered a great loss. Such a loss was the precise reason he'd never felt the need or desire to make himself a consort. His heart was cold and closed off, protected from such pain and torment. He had his spawns to keep him company, and he could force their love should he feel the need for it. That was enough for him.
Cazador's own arms opened and he gave a casual, polite smile that crinkled the corners of his eyes as he placed a kiss of greeting on both of the other vampire's cheeks while embracing his arms. He was stiff with his movements, merely going through the motions as he knew it was the way Sanguinous would want to greet him whether he liked it or not.
"There is very little need to change perfection once one falls upon it." Cazador said with a little chuckle, stepping back to observe the others, though he didn't acknowledge any with words before his gaze fell upon his friend.
"Tell me, Sanguinous, what brings you to my humble abode? It has been quite some time since you've made an appearance... I think perhaps there are those that though you'd walked yourself into the sun."
