Book of Life!Hiro and Tadashi
Culturally this irks me because Hiro and Tadashi are both half Japanese but I really wanted to draw Hiro and Tadashi as La Muerte and Xibalba because I loved the relationship I saw between the two in the movie and I loved the idea of applying this to Hiro and Tadashi.
Hiro looks A LOT more like La Muerte than Tadashi in comparison to Xibalba but I just couldn’t imagine Tadashi in Xibalba’s garb so I gave him a more bestial look (I’ll definitely develop it much more).
Hiro’s more ‘law abiding’ in this AU and both he and Tadashi are rather estranged due to Tadashi’s lack of understanding of the Rules. He didn’t like the existence of ‘The Land of the Forgotten’ because he didn’t think that those souls deserved to be down there just because no one remember them.
