Headcanon: Shinki’s skeleton puppet is a unique puppet created by Uncle Kankuro. Kankuro specifically designed it so that it could be used in tandem with his nephew’s Iron Sand, without the joints getting stuck.

Sasori himself acknowledged Kankuro’s worth; even if SP continues to fuck with us and fails to show Kankuro’s full potential, I refuse to believe Kankuro doesn’t design his own puppets by now. We’ve never seen any other puppet like Shinki’s, and who else could it come from than Kankuro, who’s most likely Suna’s best puppetmaster?
