No, that's not a scene from any Hollywood apocalypse.

He reached the icy edge of the cliff and stopped to take a breather. As he did so, through the UV protecting glasses, some things on the icy slope and the freezing lake below started to become visible. As his eyes got accustomed to the glint of the snow, it started to become apparent what they were. Skulls, legs, arms and other parts of human skeletons scattered along the icy slope and gathering in numbers towards the base of the bowl-shaped icy dome where the small, frozen lake was situated. Clearly, there was more inside the lake itself.
