To Tyler and Josh
It's kind of funny to think about how I almost missed out on this whole thing. If it weren't for my dear friend Night, I probably would've never get to know you in a way I do now, just going on about my days, unaware of you and what you created.
The first time I really fell head over heels for a band was with Nightwish, purely from an instrumental, melodical standpoint. Because, well, I didn't speak english back then, and had no idea what they were singing about, but it soundet nice. And from there I discovered a lot more insanely talentet arists and went to a lot of concerts and festivals.
But to be truthfully honest, none of them hit me the same way you managed to. I remember one of the first songs my friend sent me happened to be 'Addict with a pen', and somehow you managed to put into words a situation you didn't even sing about, but the words fit so well to what I was thinking about, and it simply struck me. You managed to express something I couldn't put into words by myself before.
It's only been a year since I've been introduced to you guys, and it had such a huge impact on me that it's hard to describe. I met other people through you, people I finally feel like I belong with them, who share the same points of views in a lot of things, who just get and accept you the way you are, and welcome you with disarming kindness. The show in Zurich this February, and at the Gurten festival just yesterday were easily some of my favorite shows I've ever been to.
So thank you, Tyler and Josh, for doing what you do. Your band and fans are a force of nature, and I couldn't be happier about it that I get to be part of it. You inspire so many people, and give them light when times are rough.
Can't wait to see what the future holds for you and what you create. I wish you two only the best, and that light keeps radiating in your hearts and that the stars watch over you.
