       when scully gets home that day, she’ll find melissa curled up on the couch with a slightly worn copy of MOBY DICK. it’s clearly well read, with writing in the margins and sticky notes poking out all over it. she gives a quick glance up to see who entered and then promptly lets out a sigh. ❝ do you think melville INTENTIONALLY made this damn thing so vague just to fuck with us ? i bet he’s somewhere in the first circle of hell just laughing his ass off like ‘mwahaha! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!’ ❞

    IT  IS  A  DAY  THAT'S  ONLY  RECENTLY  PASSED  UNDER  HIS  RADAR  ,    nevermind  how  it'd  only  recently  come  into  fruition  in  2009  ;  he  had  been  just  as  skeptical  as  scully  upon  it's  discovery  .  but  now  ?  now  he  was  eating  it  up  .  his  teeth  grazed  her  cheek  ,  hands  firm  and  wandering  along  her  backside  .     ❛     'm  afraid  i  can't  .  it's  a  special  day  ,  scully  .     ❜     chin  juts  forth  ,  breath  easing  against  the  rim  of  her  ear  .     ❛     it  ,  ah  ,  started  as  a  campaign  ...  kick  the  ginger  .  people  seemed  to  agree  it  was  a  shitty  holiday  and  ...  i  prefer  this  one  .     ❜
