          there   was   a   quick   but   perceptible   PURSE   of   his   lips   ———   immediately   followed   by   a   deep   sigh   that   encompassed   nothing    but   defeat.    the   apparent   scrawny   &&   wimp  lad   couldn’t   begin   to   FATHOM   the   delicacy  of   the   matter.    let   alone   the   impossibility   that   a   mere   mundane   going  into   such   dangerous   task  truly   meant.    perhaps   even   bordering   on   an    inexplicable   obsession   that   the   other   seemed   to   have  with   the   downworld.       ❝      if    I    FAIL      ————   you   DIE.           ❞    there   was   no   sugarcoating   it;   it   was   a   blunt   truth   &&   alec   did   not   want   to   carry   a    bloody   corpse   out    of   the   fairy   world.    even   when   that   body   belonged   to   a   mundie.
