Mingcheng for the bodycanon ask??
Headcanon: you know that scene in CQL where Nie Mingjue compliments the Twin Heroes and they fucking light up? In both CQL and MDZS during Sunshot, he does this to Jiang Cheng all the time. He just seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't let an accomplishment pass by unmentioned. "Good job shoring up our left flank, Jiang-zongzhu." "Yunmeng Jiang are true examples of surviving through adversity." Jiang Cheng can't spend as much time flustered as he might naturally do since he has, y'know, a war to prosecute, but I've no doubt he's internally screaming.
Heartcanon: I just think... Nie Mingjue and Jiang Cheng bonding over dogs. Does the Unclean Realm have a kennel? They do now!
Gutcanon: Can't remember if this went down a similar way in MDZS as CQL, which is clearer in my mind, but I think NMJ's hard line stance on the Wen remnants had a strong influence on Jiang Cheng's subsequent stance in that regard, after his first tentative attempt to be like "they did help us". Obviously there were a lot of elements in play there, but I bet that was a significant one.
Junkcanon: I tend to be pretty neutral on sexy use of Zidian, but one of the very first Twitter fics I was given had NMJ tied up in front of Jiang Cheng with Zidian purring around his throat & that has stayed with me. I see a big man, I want to put him on his knees, Nie Mingjue is no exception, & I think Jiang Cheng would be entirely conscious of what a gift that is.
Spleencanon: Contrary to MXTX's assertions, Nie Mingjue is a perfectly competent artist, that's just not where his primary talents lie. Jiang Cheng doesn't use fans the way Nie Huaisang does, so Nie Mingjue paints him a landscape to hang on his wall.
