I am so so glad you asked! That night was indeed so historic that, as I was living it, I knew we (I) would need to revisit it regularly, so I made a tag of our collective spiraling: #skgdn . I think if you search that on my blog you can see all the posts. (it stands for sidkrisgeno date night, naturally)

As I described in this post, here is a summary of the events of that night:

The sequence of events happens thusly: Sidney Crosby throws a perfect spiral on stage in front of thousands of people and wins 1 Million American Dollars. A large muscle man in a tank top says to Kris Letang (friend of Sid), how did you know your friend (Sid) could complete this physical challenge? Kris thinks to himself, Sid is good at everything, therefore I knew he would be good at this. But, and this is crucial, what comes out of his mouth is “he’s the perfect boyfriend.” Chaos, naturally, ensues. And academics will be studying this series of events for years to come
