8 years...
I've been watching this sport for 8 years now. I've seen ski jumpers starting their careers and I also had to say goodbye to many of my favourites, I've seen them losing their hope at first but then making amazing comebacks, I've seen them winning competitions when nobody believed in them and also breaking records and enter into this sport's history forever. Many people have a strange look on their faces and judge me when I tell them what this sport really means to me. But I understand their reactions because, honestly, they can't understand what I really feel. This sport gave me a lot of great things: I learned that dreams come true with hard work and hope, I was lucky enough to feel the thrill of a live competition, I'm part of a great family here and my heart jumped a thousand times from my chest when the postman brought me autograph cards from different ski jumpers. So, somehow it has become a part of me, a part that I would never let go. Ski jumping it's more than just a sport, it's what makes me whole, it's one of those few things that really makes sense in this crazy world.
I miss that fight between Jacobsen and Schlierenzauer for the golden eagle 4 years ago...
Who has some autoraph cards addresses ? :)
I'm so happy ski jumping is back!!!
