My words of wisdom is

STAGE PARENTS

Skimble tends to like. Help a lot with costumes and costume changes diagetically. Most obviously in Bway Reviva, but also in Tour V where Skimble has to wear. So many hats bc they were down 1-2 toms. But yeah there are plenty of times where he's got nothing to actively do so he's helping out with costume pieces and props.

Like. Digression here but it's my opinion that Skimble is one of those ppl who was a theatre kid growing up,and didn't pursue it or anything similar as a career like. Community theatre kinda dude.

And Jelly. Is like. Actively an actress in their cat theatre world IMO. Gus' protégé for sure.

And they're both some of the very parenting cats.

Which imo = Stage Parents. Just, like. The good kind; parents whose kids do theatre and so they help backstage. No momager or dadager-ing.

Also I think one of the bigger things to like. distinctify Skimblejelly from Sk.im.bl.ed.ot.s is the dynamic. Like, I think Jenny and Skimble are absolutely a cute pair! I feel like they also bring out each other's stricter sides you know like. They can both get particular abt things getting done and getting done right, and that energy just kinda feeds off each other. so while they're still absolutely loving and cute, and playful there is like. A lower threshold for tomfoolery.

Meanwhile with Jelly the biggest commonality is the "fun" side. It's the stage facing, performing side that feeds off everyone else having fun. And for that side, it doesn't mean they don't draw the line and discipline when it gets crossed; they're not pushovers or destructively hands-off, but yknow. They'll let more horseplay slide+might even feed a bit into the (controlled) chaos.
