The effortlessly sleek 'Tekne' floor lamp designed by Mangiarotti for Skipper Pollux in 1988. Three separate black lacquered aluminum elements (the tripod base, central stem and crown) are welded together to create a singular form that emphasizes verticality. At its top a series of thin polished aluminum strips are inserted into the three arms of the crown to create an effective screen for the single halogen bulb; casting light primarily upwards while also allowing diffuse light to emerge through the slats.
