Galennic prompt: Krennic had really rough day at work and Galen trying his best to make Krennic feel better. It's pretty bad but Krennic appreciates the help
Orson looks terrible in a way even the distortion from the long-range hologram cannot hide. Galen rubs his index finger harshly against his thumb, trying to find an outlet for his concern other than his face.
“Galen,” Orson greets. His voice is somewhere between relieved and exasperated. The familiarity of this is enough to drain some of the tension from Galen’s shoulders.
“You’re early,” Galen says. Their weekly progress report isn’t scheduled for another three days.
Orson makes an aborted motion towards his face with a bare hand. “I know.” After a moment, he seems to reconsider it, and gives in to the urge to drag it slowly across his mouth, his eyes going unfixed over his fingers for an instant. But Galen is the only one there to see, and there is only Galen to judge.
He chooses his words carefully. Orson never reacts well to smothering. “Have you… eaten anything today?”
And, to Galen’s unending bewilderment, Orson’s hand slides away from his face as he laughs. “Oh, Galen. Galen, Galen, Galen.”
He smiles in kind. He isn’t quite sure what he’d offered, but it seems to have been exactly what Orson needed.
