GIRLS THEY ARE HAVEING FUN!!!

so I saw the little ask prompt thing and I don't know if you still wanted them but I thought I would come and ramble for shits and giggles!

My favorite ships would probably be Springrod, Jazzprowl, Wheelratch, Skystar/Jetstar! (plus some others but I’ll just go with these for now LMAO)

I really like Springer and Hot rod because of their dynamic (mostly going to go off G1 for this) Hot rod is the sometimes reckless, impulsive hero while still struggling with barring the Matrix and that leader position, and I just love him a lot. Springer is witty, brave and charismatic! He is protective over his friends. He also has a pretty dry witty humor and is sarcastic. In G1 I think they made a funny duo when they interacted with playful back and forth banter, sarcastic remarks but also a mutual respect and understanding for each other. And adding to the mutual understanding, Springer is a very good and strong leader and Hot rod (or Rodimus in this case) seems to struggle sometimes with leadership and the burden that it is, and I think this actually happened a few times, but I think that Springer would be very good at helping Rodimus with different things, like organization, leadership, plans etc. And he did take over a couple times in G1 from what I can remember. And once again I just think they have really funny interactions because they both are pretty sarcastic and have witty humor. So in summary I just think that they have both a very goofy, fun relationship while also having that respect and understanding for each other. (Sorry I tired my best explaining but there isn’t a whole, whole lot to go off for G1)

And Jazzprowl, come on, it's a classic. (going off some of G1 and some comic references) They both have such different personalities that for some reason they just work well together. Jazz is the upbeat, easy going, popular second/third in command (depending on version!) head of Special Operations who manages to inspire and encourage hope in the other autobots and everyone loves this guy. Meanwhile Prowl is the second/third command strategist, strict and uptight who basically everyone wants to (or has) punch(ed) in the face. Jazz seems to be really the only guy who can stand to be around him without having a need to pummel him LMAO. And in the comics they just seem to mesh well? Seeing as they both are typically bots of high command they have good respect for each other and another level of understanding. Despite their polar opposite personalities, when it comes down to it they work well together when they do and it’s always so fun to see their interactions or banter and conversations. Jazz seems like he could/can get Prowl to loosen up and lose some of that rigidness, while Prowl can perhaps encourage Jazz to plan a little more instead of going in willy nilly. I also just could see Jazz getting (or trying to) get Prowl out of his bubble and out more.

Wheelratch, golly, definitely one of top favorite duos overall. (Mainly gonna use G1 for this) I love how goofy they were, Ratchet is very caring and unselfish and will always put his fellow autobots above himself. He is pretty fun loving (and apparently canonically loves partying??) and is very loyal to his friends. Wheeljack is like a crazy scientist to me. He builds and invents a lot of stuff but it seems to usually blow up (sometimes literally) in his face. Despite that, he is an upbeat and loveable guy who may not always do the best but he’s got his heart in the right place. He is pretty brave and despite being more of an Inventor he stills gets out to the action and joins the others on missions. And to me Wheeljack seems pretty talkative and loves discussing things and I bet Ratchet wouldn’t mind just listening to him sometimes. But in G1 him and Ratchet tended to stay back at Teletraan 1 together and build and fix things. And of course in G1 they built the dinobots and that was so funny to me because Wheeljack just kind of thought “Gee what if we built robotic dinosaurs” and Ratchet just kind of went along and agreed and that was funny to me. Another interaction I thought was funny was in the Nightbird episode the humans built the robot and they had to guard it, these two were together and were just giggling making fun of it until Optimus told them off which is so funny to me LMAOO. So just seeing their similar positions and personalities I think that they make such a good and fun duo.

And I’ll wrap it up with Skystar!! (mainly G1 and elements of Skybound) Them to me is such a perfect duo, clearly in their backstory they were both peaceful and happy scientists before the war, then Skyfire and Starscream went to Earth and were separated and as Starscream said “Skyfire and I were exploring what was an uncharted planet at that time. This one. Earth. We detected no intelligent life on the surface, but Skyfire insisted we look closer. A polar windstorm came up suddenly and Skyfire and I were separated. I circled half the globe searching for him, but he was gone.” WHICH IS CRAZY I LOVE THEM. And that entire episode he was so soft spoken around Skyfire and he seemed much more calm too?? I just feel like they have such an interesting and amazing relationship that truly just makes me at a loss for words?? I don’t even know how to explain them but golly I love them. It also hurts that they are on opposite sides of the war and eventually fell out again and it makes me sad because what is a sky without it’s star right?

And bonus for a random ship (I don't think it’s that underground but) I like Sandstorm and Octane, that episode in G1 where they go out to eat or just wander around together is so funny to me cause wdym this autobot and decepticon are just chill and hanging out.

And I am SO SORRY this is so freaking long I had much to say. And I apologize if my characterizations or facts are off this was off the top of my head and I couldn’t gather my thoughts I was too excited LMAOO

I heard a bit on Springrod! I can definetly see it working considering their dynamic. I haven't yet had the chance to watch season 3 yet with them, but I've seen clips and my favourite has to be the one where Springer goes "He's not as dumb as he looks" after Arcee scolds him for encouraging Rodimus to basically kill himself a a joke, I think. And as SOON as they're off screen, Rodimus proves Springer wrong, he is as dumb as he looks XD. They're a really cute ship though, and the way you explained them I think is pretty fitting :]

Jazzprowl is definetly a classic though, for sure. Especially if you follow Keferon. They're not exactly a ship I'd say I'm completely interested in. Not that I don't ship them, I definetly do! I just don't have an attachment to Prowl and Jazz in general as characters, even though I enjoy them haha. But I do see the appeal and they're really an interesting pair, I enjoy all the content that comes out of these two and they're included in a couple of my aus still hehe.

OH MY GOD YES WHEELRATCH I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!! After watching G1, I was HOOKED with the two and wanted more of them so badly XD. Ratchet in G1 is so silly, I think he by far might be my favourite iteration of him and I think he is also very underrated. They're just so goofy together! Ratchet always having to fix Wheeljack because his inventions always explodes is a fun dynamic to me, and I love joking about how the Dinobots are their kids (and when other people join in, cuz they technically are XD). Ratchet just seems to go along with Wheeljack's stuff, and sometimes is reluctant to join in or think he's crazy; but in the end he does so anyway and might as well be an enabler cuz he seems to be having fun as well lol. I love these two to bits and they need more attention and love. There's also their TFP version which is a whoooole other dynamic tbh, but I love them a lot too lol. Very divorced couple bickering to me.

THAT EPISODE WAS INSANE FOR SUCH A GOOFY ASS SHOW ISTG!!!! Like, it was so???? Idk how to explain it, but the angst they threw in and how serious and soft spoken and the feels of everything was insane???? I wasn't expecting that at all!!! And it really make their relationship the most interesting of the first cartoon to me because of that. Up until then, there was nothing as complex or as tragic as these two and it caught me by surprise. But dude, that line? "What is a sky without its star" is insane, how can you just drop bars like that then leavd???? THAT DESCRIBES THEM SO TRAGICALLY RAAAAAAAAAH!!

As for my ships. Well, I'll just give one per ask so that it might make people come back for more X3, I wanna hear everybody's ships (even if you have the same ship as another ask, still share! The reason someone ships another can vary from person to person and I'd love to hear them all!)

But another ship of mine, a pretty crack ship, is IDW Skids x Blurr. However, they only work - for me - because of an au I'm working on kjfdjkfss. In said au, Blurr and Swerve have a kid, but Blurr only shows up waaaay after (for reasons) and Skids ends up stepping up as a step-sire. Later on, when Blurr finally enters their lives, the two sorta have to work together now. That isn't the ship that happens, btw. They're only friends. But as I kept discussing "what ifs" scenarios with my friend, they just sorta... happaned? XD. I talked about them here before, in a previous ask. But I really love them. They have a pretty fun dynamic and it's a shame they never really interact.

One thing that I find pretty interesting for them is that Blurr is a Wrecker, but isn't the typical wreck and rule sorta wrecker. He's actually pretty calculated and nimble with his actions. While Skids is Specs Ops, but is very loud and brazen and a lot more explosive than Blurr is. They still fall on their elements though. There's a reason they're in the groups that they are. From the outside, they may be opposites to their job, but when at it, they do a pretty good job at it. And then you add the rivalry that Specs Ops and Wreckers have and it reeeeeally gets things going. They're the type to bicker a lot about petty things for me, but would defend the other if needed. In the au, Skids didn't like Blurr at the beginning, but eventually starts to care for him like family. They get on each other's nerves a lot; Blurr tries to be civil, but Skids pushes his buttons a lot and it's a never ending circle XD.

And never apologise for making things long!! Sure, it might take me 5 buisness days to get to it depending how busy I am or my energy levels, but I absolutely love - and I mean LOVE long rants!! They're so fun to read! And I love people getting passionate about things and being able to share and bask in that same excitment. So please, do go on! Also, don't worry bout maybe getting things wrong, I'm on a similar boat here so I get it XD.

Snooping for presents is a common pass time around Christmas, especially in the Potter household. A fluffy family Christmas story featuring Harry, Ginny, and all the kids. Hinny Fluff. One-shot.

“Hurry, Lily! Mum and Dad are gonna be home any second!”

“When snooping for Christmas presents when your parents aren’t home, shouldn’t you be more worried about me?” Teddy poked his head into Harry and Ginny’s bedroom. “Besides, Ginny wouldn’t lay them out in plain sight when she knows you’re her son.”

Lily’s little head peeped out from under the bed and she blew her fringe from her eyes. 

“They aren’t here Jamie.” 

Jamie’s shoulders slumped forward.

“What about you, Al?” 

Al’s head popped out of the clothes in the closet. “Nothing.”

“Maybe they didn’t get us anything.” Jamie sighed.

“Don’t be silly.” Teddy laughed. “They’re your parents. They got you something. And even if they didn’t, you haven’t been so bad that Father Christmas would forget you entirely.” 

“But last year we found them, and the year before that too.” 

“Then they probably hid them really well this year. Come on, let’s go back downstairs.”

Teddy chuckled as all the kids filed out of the Potter’s bedroom. He remembered when he used to act that way, snooping around for presents at Christmas time. He was more mature than that now. Now he’s trusted to help set out presents at the appointed time; and he knows that his family loves him enough to find presents he’ll like.

Jamie’s head was nearly down by his shoes as he slumped down the stairs and his older brother took pity on the poor lad.

“How about I get out the biscuits and what’s left of the wassail from yesterday and we can play a game till your parents get home?”

“Alright,” Jamie said with a little shrug of his slumped shoulders.

The game and sugar worked wonders and by the time Harry and Ginny were home, Jamie had forgotten all about snooping for presents.

“Thank you for watching them for us.” Ginny hugged him. “I’m sure there were better things to be doing than watching your god-siblings.”

“I don’t mind.” Teddy placed their mugs in the sink. “Oh, and you should know Jamie had them snooping in your room for presents.”

Harry chuckled. “He won’t find them there.”

“I didn’t think he would.” Teddy nodded. “But I thought I’d give you a heads up.”

“Have you done all your shopping?” Ginny put her hand on his shoulder. “I could take you tomorrow.”

“I got everything with Gran when the train came in. She said we were already in London and might as well take advantage of it.”

“Smart woman, your Gran.” Harry smiled. “Now why don’t you run on up to bed and we’ll get you back home in the morning.”

Teddy wished them both goodnight and headed for the stairs.

“You know.” Ginny’s voice was quiet. “I’m going to take a lot of joy one day in telling Jamie that all the presents were right in front of him the whole time.” 

Teddy paused, curious if she’d reveal the hiding place.

After all, he should know so as to steer Jamie in the wrong direction.

“That spot only works for as long as I don’t need my cloak for work.” Harry’s voice was almost too quiet to be heard.

“I’ll be sure to ask Father Christmas to keep all the baddies away until Christmas.”

“You’ll need to ask him to keep the kids off the ceilings as well, then.”

Teddy’s jaw dropped, and he looked above him. 

His godparents had hid the presents on the ceiling and then covered them with Harry’s invisibility cloak? Jamie would never even think to check the ceiling! Teddy wasn’t even supposed to know Harry had the cloak, but he’d eves dropped from this same spot before and heard about it then. 

Satisfied that Jamie wouldn’t be able to ruin his Christmas surprises, Teddy walked up the stairs to his room.

“He’s in his room.” Harry wrapped his arms around Ginny’s waist and kissed her neck.

“Do you think he believed us?” 

“Of course he did, or he wouldn’t have gone upstairs.” Harry kissed her again, ready to move their conversation on to other things.

“Hold that thought.” 

Ginny slipped from his arms and laughed at the pout Harry gave her for that. She picked up her wand and brought the box of old mugs down from atop the refrigerator. Then pulled the last of the Christmas gifts from the bags and shrunk them down to fit inside the mugs. She placed the box back on top of the refrigerator.

“There.” She slid up against him. “Now, where were we?”

Harry pulled her close and spoke low against her ear. “Somewhere along these lines.”

Ginny’s response was a quiet moan as she melted into him.

“Take me to bed, Mr. Potter.”

“With pleasure, Mrs. Potter.”

Harry swept her into his arms and up the stairs to their room. No one was going to be finding their presents early, not even Ginny.

Jamie definitely got his snooping from her.

Skirr This immense undead beast is vaguely humanoid, a pair of bony wings replacing its forearms and its feet tipped with talons. Its head is the fleshless skull of a great bull, its teeth replaced with a nest of fangs. Skirrs are hideous composite undead created as mounts and guardians for necropolises. A skirr is created by stitching together pieces of giant birds, beasts and even dragons, binding the corpse with a layer of wrappings and then animating it by fell magic. Skirrs possess a dim and violent intelligence and pantomime the hunger that drove them in life. The stench of rotten meat, the remains of victims decomposing in the beast’s interior, follows a skirr wherever it goes. A skirr stands eighteen feet tall and weighs 1500 pounds. A skirr can be created using the create undead spell at 17th or higher caster level; the spell overland flight must also be cast in the creation of a skirr.
