Have you heard about Grizzleman. They're my fav rarepair. Their dynamic is so adorable and entertaining, especially in Wild Life(Spanner. I miss them😭). Like, in Wild Life, when come to whom is more responsible and organized, it's always Grian. He always complains about Skizz being reckless but willingly give everything to help Skizz in a time of need.
Example when Skizz want to give diamonds armour back to Grian after he became Yellow. Grian is worried about Skizz more than himself so he refused to take his armour back, for Skizz safety.
And when they're bantering or annoyed each other. Oh my god, it's so funny and very fun to watch these two being interacted.
Also, sprinkle some trope onto them, something like Size-Difference, The Responsible one x The Chaotic one, and Grumpy x Sunshine.
Moreso, opinion on Jimmy/Skizz?
Grizzleman post if you haven't seen it already!
I think Jimmy x Skizz(Or Skizzledarity is what I like calling them) is a fun ship! I've already talked a bit about me shipping all of the rejects together and that doesn't exclude these two. 10/10 ship though there's a devastating lack of content revolving around just the two of them. Two goofy guys just being goofily in love with each other. I like to imagine that they preen each other's wings as well :)
}{ Rated T. Skizzidarity, implied background relationships.
}{ Contains spoilers for Wild Life session 4.
}{ References to non-permanent character death and series-typical violence. Relationship anxiety, reassurance, implied polyamory.
"Don't look at me! Don't even look at me!"
Skizz threw his hands up as he turned on his heel and marched down the cherrywood stairs, leaving Jimmy with a stunned half-grin frozen on his face. His throat already ached from all the cheering he'd been doing. Skizz wasn't actually angry with him, he knew that. It was all part of the game. If he were the sort to take these things seriously, then he wouldn't have been canoodling with Tango so eagerly on the very first break after Tango killed him.
He briefly considered following Skizz, just to be sure. But then Scar and Lizzie were cheering for him so loudly, and Scar scooped him up in a bone-crushing hug, and Lizzie was ruffling his hair so hard he couldn't see, and that tiny uncertain voice in the back of his head was drowned out.
It was all part of the game. Skizz understood that; it would be fine. They would be fine -
<Skizzleman> I never thought I could hate Jimmy
<Skizzleman> But here we are.
- Right?
The final night passed, the flow of time returned to normal, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief before settling in for the first evening of the break. Jimmy sat near the edge of the mountain, watched Lizzie cross the bridge over to Joel, and listened to Mumbo, Grian, and Scar behind him laughing around the campfire.
Grian had scolded him again when they arrived and punched him on the arm for good measure, but then his eyes softened and he grinned as he admitted that he was proud of Jimmy. Mumbo echoed the sentiment, giving Jimmy's shoulder a friendly pat as the two made their way over to Scar. Everything was fine between them. It was all part of the game, after all.
Jimmy glanced down the side of the mountain. He hadn't seen Skizz leave, and neither Tango nor Impulse had shown up. He glanced behind him, decided he absolutely did not want to be around to see where the heated "argument" between Grian and Scar was going, and slipped quietly from his perch to head down the stairs.
He hesitated outside the entrance to Skizz's...well, to call it a base felt generous, but it wasn't like his own was much better. At least Skizz had walls and a doorway. Firelight spilled out into the night from the latter. Jimmy took a deep breath, preparing to step inside.
"And what are you doing all the way down here, little birdie?"
Jimmy's heart leaped into his throat at the sound of a sharp voice somewhere above him. Skizz wasn't inside after all, it seemed, sitting instead on the edge of the lowest bridge and cloaked in just enough shadow that Jimmy hadn't spotted him on the way down.
"H-hey Skizz," he greeted, forcing a lopsided grin onto his face. "How ya doing? Just thought I'd come say hi, and uh, make sure we're all good."
"All good?" Skizz jumped down and leaned into Jimmy's space, backing him against the wall and caging him there with a hand pressed into the dirt next to his head. "You tried to talk me into betraying my teammate. Then you stole the plan meant to get me back to yellow, and killed both my buddies in the process. And now you wanna ask if we're 'all good'?"
His large frame loomed over Jimmy, muscles obvious even in the low light. Jimmy's pulse spiked, more than familiar with how easy it was for Skizz to lift him, throw him, do whatever he wanted with him. Just thinking about it made his jeans uncomfortably tight. Skizz gripped Jimmy's jaw in his hand, forcing his attention up to his face instead of his pecs, and pinned him in place under a dark gaze.
Then he grinned, the look in his eyes as bright and easygoing as ever. "Of course we are! All part of the game, man. In fact, that may have just been one of the coolest things I've ever seen."
Jimmy breathed a sigh of relief as Skizz let go of him and stepped back. "Thanks. Great. Just wanted to - to check, you know?" Skizz looked at him strangely, and he smiled in what he hoped looked like reassurance. "I mean, of course I knew you weren't really angry. That'd be silly. It's all part of - oh I think I need to sit down."
He managed to make it look like he sank down to the grass deliberately instead of his knees giving out, but Skizz was still hovering immediately, pressing a hand to his forehead. "Are you okay, Jiggles? Did something not heal right earlier? Should I call Grian down to check?"
"I'm good, Skizz, I'm good!" Jimmy waved him away. "I think I just - today was a lot, you know? I haven't really taken the time to just - just breathe, and think, and I...Skizz, what are you doing?"
Those last few words were muffled as Skizz squished Jimmy's face in both hands, turning his head this way and that to study him. "Making sure you're okay, dude! Are you dizzy? Any ringing in your ears? How many fingers am I holding up?"
"None, because they're on my face. I'm fine." He pulled away from Skizz's grasp, annoyance beginning to overtake the cocktail of anxiety and attraction and relief that had crashed over him so quickly. "Don't baby me."
"Sorry." Skizz fidgeted a moment, looked at the entrance to his base, then at the top of the mountain, then back to Jimmy before sitting down in front of him. "You sure you're - ?" He snapped his jaw shut at the look Jimmy gave him.
Jimmy sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, then took a deep breath and attempted to gather his thoughts. "Sorry. For a minute there earlier, I thought you might actually be upset with me, and it - it got to me a little, is all."
"Oh - Jimmy, never." Skizz's fingers twitched like he wanted to reach for him again, but he kept his hands firmly at his side. "I could never be upset with you! Especially over something that happens during one of these games." He rubbed the back of his neck, looking regretful. "Guess I got a little too caught up in the act. Sorry. Man, now I feel bad."
"S'okay. You didn't even do anything wrong. I don't know why I got so sensitive about it." Jimmy leaned his head back against the stone and looked up at the moon. Now that he had the reassurance he wanted, it seemed silly to have even needed it in the first place.
It was Skizz's turn to look uncertain, and Jimmy glanced over at him. "You can make it up to me anyway, if you want," he said with a shrug, and bit back a smile at the way Skizz perked up.
"Anything," he said eagerly. "And I promise I won't get so deep into the whole bad boy persona next time, not when it comes to you."
"Oi, I'm the Bad Boy in this relationship," said Jimmy indignantly, and Skizz laughed. Jimmy crawled into Skizz's lap, wrapped his arms around his neck, and nosed against his face. "I don't get to see you much outside of the games, you know. Feels like we're at the halfway mark already, and even though we're basing right next to each other, I don't think you've kissed me once."
"Well shit, I think you might be right," said Skizz, wrapping his arms around him tightly. "I should make up for that oversight ASAP."
"You really sh - mmf." Jimmy had intended to follow up by telling Skizz what else he could to make it up to him, but from the way his hand gripped Jimmy's waist as he kissed him, it seemed he already had an idea.
Skizz lifted Jimmy with ease and carried him inside the base. The flow of time might be back to normal, but as eager hands made short work of his clothes, Jimmy suspected the sun would be up before either of them knew it anyway. The break between sessions was meant to give everyone a chance to rest, but he didn't mind one bit if that turned out to not be the case.
