World Wildlife Day is celebrated on 3 March every year to raise awareness about the world’s wild animals and plants.
Take this opportunity to read up on sustainable methods of tourism where you can see animals in their habitat, instead of them being locked up in cages.
The images above are captured on a boat in Skjálfandi Bay by Húsavík, Iceland.
The company North Sailing in Húsavík has been organising whale watching trips since 1995.
Thousands of people visit the town every year for the whale watching trips, although it has also many other things to offer like the GeoSea bath, local craft brewery Húsavík Öl and great restaurants by the seaside.
A new whale watching season started in Húsavík in March.
Here are also a few non-whale wildlife photos from my collection.
