How to Bake a Cookie in your Cast Iron Skillet
One of our favorite ways to eat a cookie is straight from a cast iron skillet with a spoon. It’s as easy to make as it is to eat -- just use your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and spread it into a cast iron skillet with a spatula. Bake it for 20-25 minutes (or under bake it slightly for a softer cookie). There’s no need to oil your pan or preheat it. We used an 11-inch skillet and this oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes, scoop your favorite ice cream on top and dig in!

Made using 100% whole wheat flour and hand-chopped chocolate chips, this is a skillet-baked twist on Kim Boyce's celebrated Chocolate Chip Cookies.
