What are your headcanons on the first rayman bosses

Bzzit

Bziit is a pacifist at heart, so when he had to fight Rayman, it was more by obligation to Moskito than for anything else.After his battle, he stayed friend with Rayman and while his role was minimal, he was still an ally to Rayman when the Robo-Pirate attacked the glade.(I was so happy the first time I saw him in Rayman Revolution) He is now living peacefully with the other members of his specie.

Moskito 

Like many bosses in this list, Moskito was probably perturbed with the disappearance of the Great Protoon.Because of that he became very aggressive and he prompted Bziit (his Cousin ? Brother ?) to also attack RaymanAfter losing his battle, he disappeared in the forest for a while.He came around later, among with other members of his species in Rayman Origins and legends.

Mr SAX

Mr SAX is one of the many bosses been perturbed by the disappearance of the Great Protoon.

Mr Sax is a cool guy when he’s not out to get you. 

He’s still dwelling is the band land, and is visited sometimes by Holly Luya, who considers him as some sort of right hand.

Mr Stones

This one is a bit tricky. Unlike many bosses, he wasn’t perturbed by the disappearance of the Great Protoon. Mr Stones is also a bit ... Of a knucklehead.

He’s nice but when he saw everyone else turn crazy, he got defensive.

Mr Dark didn’t have to do much to convince him that Rayman was at the origin of the problem. Which ensued the evnt we all know.

On a side note, there is a nursery rhyme named Mr Stones, it talk about a monster who burps loudly in a cave, so i guess he’s not really the graceful/polite type either. (Rayman Maternelle)

Mr Stones is still in the blue mountains, and he is an ally of Helena Handbasket

He’s a Friend of Clark the Giant too.

Space Mama

Same as many others, Space Mama got crazy when the Protoon got stolen.Her madness was fuelled by the fear taht her popularity was threatened when Rayman started to kick the butts of the other bosses. Because of that, she decided to go full Diva on him and show him how dramaturgy is done.It’s been implied in Rayman Maternelle that she was short tempered, or has an aversion for clowns, or one, for that matters. In that game, said clown call her a witch and while it was probably meant more an insult than to state a fact....Well it would explain why she was able to shoot lazers out of her rolling pin. That or we found our missing Nymph.It would also explain why she was hunted by the count Razoff at one point (french dossier de presse).Little is know on her fate to this day.

Mr Skops

This one got reaaaaal crazy. Skops was a tiny scorpion before the loss of the Great Protoon and he became mad and aggressive as hell.

In a nursery rhymes in Rayman Maternelle, he is mentionned and shown as a little scorpion. I speculate it was him before becoming a huge beast.

His transformation is almost similar of what we have seen with the 4 kings, only to a lesser degree.When Skops is finally defeated he didn’t quite get back his original form back, but apparently, he became acquainted with Space Mama since he’s seen chillin’ on her drakkar.

Mr Dark

So uh... I have my own take Mr Dark.I have no basis on this, that just my pov, until Ubisoft decides otherwise.

I don’t believe he’s a teensie. The one we have seen in the kinda canon trailer, until further proof, I’m going to consider it was Ales in a cosplay. 

I think that Mister Dark’s origin is directly linked to Rayman’s. Or vice versa.First, why I think they’re linked to one another.Mister Dark is a magician. He has a lot of powers and different spells, unlike Rayman who’s more of a brawler who has to be give powers from Bétilla to get stronger. Which is normal considering game canons of the time, bad guys is completely different from good guy. But here we also have a difference in aspect.We have a RAY man, and a mister DARK. Light versus dark, yin and yang , you see what i mean.It wouldn’t be surprising at the point we’re at that the creation/invocation of one prompted the apparition of the other, to balance things out.And there is exactly a situation where it happened.

The chaos created by Jano might have prompted Mr Dark to existence (or who knows maybe Jano created him), as a mass of darkness taking it’s time to take shape and skills.And we know what prompted Rayman’s creation.It could also be the other way around, the creation of Rayman may have directly prompted the apparition of Mr Dark too.That’s how i see it anyway.

Headcanons on Mr Skops?

o boi here comes the bad boi

Despite not being quite into the idea of join Mr.Dark in the first place, he quickly gained a position and respect due all the good work 

your usual cranky old man. get off his fuckin lawn kids, or else ya gonna get brutally murdered

about that, he might not be the strongest fighter in Dark’s army, but surely the most brutal and reckless. Having people getting in his cave is enough to make him quite pissed, daring to get deeper in it or, even worse, trying to touch his treasures make him blind with rage.

he isn’t quite sure he has any kind of respect towards Mr.Dark - nor the other bosses, for what matters. He probably threatened most of them - but he sure as hell isn’t stupid enough to go and challenge him. He considers Dark more of some kind of friend, somehow

(in human au) he misses an arm, cut off by an “hero” - Ales built his mechanical one, and made sure to make it as deadly as it could. Needless to say, the hero mysteriously disappeared afterwards.

The little magic balls he shoots? Poison. Pure, corrosive poison magic. One hit is enough to make you feel like dying - and despite being used to drink little part of it to get used to it, Skops still gets badly hurt after the fight with Rayman. Not enough to kill him, but enough to make him unable to move without getting hurt for a while.

I just made you imagine Ray dying by corrosive poison in Skops fight and honestly I’m glad I knew that flying thingie follows your fist so I could defeat the bastard in one go

Extremely greedy, violent and menacing... and yet, he can tell the funniest dirty jokes ever.

Also has no clue that an ALIEN BOY lives right on the coast, inside his caves. Would rather stay away from water, anyway.

Also yes, he could survive the lava flood. The dude probably bathes in lava. That’s how metal he is.
