ATSURYOKU are some of my closest friends, and it's an honour to be allowed to work with them. I think this group is absolutely amazing, and I'm going to have so much fun with them! Btw if it wasn't obvious, Yuki's real identity is Mafuyu. Also Haruka has like. Serious issues with her old work, and the idol industry in general. She talks about it in her intro because she feels obligated to, but she really doesn't want to, which is why Toya says not to ask about it, when she mentioned it herself.

mizu2. nene sees mizuki across the hallway in school and smiles at her. mizuki turns and runs off.

mizuki thinks everything is over. nene knows their secret now. nene knows who they really are. nene hates them. so they run like they always have. she doesn't see nene trip. she doesn't see nene spend weeks trying to reach her. she doesn't see nene prove she cares about her.

nene thinks that maybe she just didn't see her, but then she notices what mizuki is wearing — the boys uniform. oh. oh. that's why mizuki was so hesitant to meet in person. that's why mizuki didn't want to share her real name at first. that's why mizuki never wanted to speak to nene when they found out they went to the same school. — nene runs after mizuki. mizuki keeps running. nene can't catch up.

nene2. nene has thousands of questions, but she knows mizuki doesn't want to be asked. she doesn't know where mizuki is. she hasn't shown up to school in weeks. nene is starting to fall behind because of her. she needs to find mizuki before it drives her insane.

mizuki is hiding from nene. they can't handle seeing her face knowing she saw the truth. saw him. the boy they tried so hard to keep separate from keystroke. she can't do anything out of dreading everyone who sees that boy as the real mizuki, which to her, now includes nene, and probably minori and shiho too.

nene spends weeks trying to find mizuki, and when she does, she doesn't ask about that boy. she asks about the real mizuki. the mizuki who's afraid of being seen as that boy, but thinks she has no choice. she asks mizuki to come back to keystroke, and if she can't handle that, at least come back to nene. mizuki agrees. minori and shiho don't know what happened, but they don't need to. mizuki will explain everything when they're ready. right now, they're just trying to exist as themself.

WIBTA if I helped my friend bribe our school?

I (17M) have a friend, I'll call him R (18M). R was expelled from his previous high school near the end of the school year last year and started at the school I go to this year. He is on very thin ice with the administration because of multiple... incidents... he swears are accidental.

Anyways, he has a friend, M (17F), who came out as a trans woman during the school holidays. She has been severely bullied by her classmates for this, and she's started skipping school to avoid them. R wants to bring this up to the administration, but they don't like him very much, and they're aware of M's classmates bullying her, and haven't done anything about it.

This is where R wants me to help. My father has a lot of money and R is asking me if I can lend him some to persuade the school to at least pretend to care about this.

I agree that the bullies should be punished, but I'm not sure about the bribery. My father doesn't mind me lending friends a small amount, but he might ask what I'm doing giving R a lot, and I doubt he'd agree to let me help if he knew it was bribery. Also, M doesn't seem to want her bullies to be punished, but R said she's a people pleaser, so I don't know if that's true.

TLDR; My friend wants me to lend him some money to convince our school to punish the people bullying his friend, but I'm not sure about lending money to bribery. WIBTA if I helped?

Trying to decide if the rest of Flash☆Light! should convince Kanade to start composing again.

On one hand, her guilt over her father and forcing herself to never make a song again, even though she wants to is core to sksh!kanade's character, but on the other hand, we have:

Kanade: Guys I made a song!

Nihiru Yuki was supposed to be Mafuyu's fresh start to be her real self, but somewhere along the way, she became another persona.

Sksh!Haruka would never talk about her trauma so I'm going to because it's very important to her as a character and why she is the way she is.

The idol industry fucked Haruka up badly, but she is her worst critic, and if she was a little kinder to herself, she wouldn't be half as bad now. She only talks about being an idol because she feels like she has to, to not let people down. If she didn't, she would never talk about it.

She started when she was ten years old. (Technically, eight, but training.) Unusually young, but she was good enough that people didn't care. The youngest idols [who actually got to be in groups] were usually around 13, so they dressed her like a 13 year old. Then, when she was 13, the rest of her group were 16 or 17, so they dressed her the same. There was a lot of comments on the whole group's bodies, but since Haruka was so much younger, and was active in fan spaces with no media training, she got it worse. She saw how bad it was, and asked to be dressed differently. All she was given were sleeves. They barely even covered her shoulders. She kept asking, and eventually she got what she wanted, but her outfits under stage lights were very warm. If she'd been eating better, she might've been fine, but she nearly passed out on stage a few times from the heat.

There was also the dieting. Her managers were all very strict about their group members' weights. They all had to be skinny and if they gained too much weight, they were gone. Haruka started to obsess over tiny measurements. If she got taller, she had to lose weight so that the extra weight that her height would give her wouldn't push her over the edge. Since she was so young, she did that a lot. She told her parents she'd eaten at rehearsals, and the people at her rehearsals that she'd eaten at home. She read the labels on everything, and completely cut out anything that could get her cut out of her group.

Then ASRUN specific issues; Mai. Mai was the only one who was nice to Haruka behind the scenes. When Mai got sick, Haruka was alone. She was her only friend, she was the only one who treated her like a human, and now she couldn't do the thing she loved, and Haruka though it was all her fault. The others weren't nice at all. Haruka claims she didn't care, but she did. She was a child, and these girls were going out of their way to make her life even more miserable than she was making it.

All of this combined ended her career. She was able to push through her fear, but it affected her performance. She was distracted by what happened to Mai, she wasn't able to give as much as she could. The stage lights made her sweat, skipping breakfast and lunch that day made her feel sick, and if she moved too quickly, the world turned black for a second, but she just breathed through it and told herself she was fine. She was not fine. She collapsed on stage, and she was made to take a break for her health, and decided to quit permanently. She knew it would happen again, so just don't give herself an opportunity.

She still struggles with a lot of things, but she's doing much better than she was. She doesn't obsess over her weight anymore, but she still struggles with food. She spent so long starving herself that eating normally makes her feel physically ill. She's working on it though. (This is one of the reasons ATSURYOKU have no idea what to do on their trip. Food is off the table [heh] because of Haruka's ED, the boys' sensory issues, and Mafuyu not being able to taste.)

Sksh!Haruka really struggles with school. She's smart, but she's been doing one half-day a week since elementary school, and now she goes full time. She didn't give herself an easy transition, she just started going for the full day every day. The business of it all stresses her out a lot and she finds it hard to focus in class because she's not used to it, and homework? What even is that? Every single test she does badly on is another reason for her to repeat the year. She doesn't want that. She's terrified she's going to have to.

Minori being the only member of Keystroke that doesn't have a complex gender identity is so funny to me because when they first met, (they -mizuki thought) none of them did. Then Mizuki came out and Shiho realised you can be trans and non-binary at the same time. A bit later, Nene realised that maybe those things she said that made Mizuki and Shiho look at her weirdly maybe meant something. Minori is just there, no self-discovery needed.
