what she means: in mamma mia 2 (here we go again! to be released summer 2018), the end of the trailer reveals cher, the grandmother, at sophie’s party. however, this makes no sense for her to be donna’s mother as donna states in the first film that her mother disowned her due to being a catholic and ashamed of her promiscuity. so is this donna’s mother who has suddenly gotten over that? is she sam’s mother? is it just an excuse to put cher into the film (that i can’t argue with because i love her but even so)? will this be revealed in the film? is it just a plot hole they’re going to ignore or will we actually be told? and where is donna in the midst of all this?
