#skull problems

Update on the R.ooster skull..

Can anyone explain what happened to the skull? The pores in the top beak look as if they bled and a part that I thought was bone just shriveled up and turned red?

Maybe it’s the specific breed of chicken but I can’t tell because, well it’s kind of hard to look of A.ppenzeller Sp.itzhauben R.ooster skull and get a good reference for what I’m dealing with.

The rest of the skull is fine, just needs to go into a hydrogen peroxide bath to get any other dried flesh off and to whiten it up but I came back to the skull looking like this. I’m not sure what to do next with that shriveled bit.

So apparently my cat Binx knocked over some stuff in my room and I just noticed something off on my shelf.

and now I have a pretty good idea of what a human skull would look like if human jaws were like pug’s.
