What do you think about Ink having Cotard’s Syndrome?

I was listening to Deathbody by Ghost and Pals (which is about Cotard’s Syndrome) and it made me interested, so I began to do some research on it.

Turns out it’s a disease that, “stems from a belief that one has lost organs, blood, or body parts to insisting that one has lost one's soul or is dead.”

Ink straight up removed his soul, however he is not dead. I feel like they could possibly suffer with this, due to that. I feel like maybe they would forget they didn’t die, or believe he should be dead. Or maybe Geno has it?

My thoughts aren’t super coherent right now but I love your takes and was wondering what you might have to say lol

Cotard’s Syndrome. (And also im gonna rec Cotard’s Solution by Will Wood because that’s very Killer.)

If we’re being fr though, I could see that being something Ink might’ve dealt with, but if I recall correctly, he doesn’t remember tearing out his soul? Or perhaps it was that they don’t remember having an AU.

Perhaps whenever he faces a trigger, such as the overwhelming color of white, maybe they struggle to remember that they are alive for awhile?

I haven’t finished reading Aftertale, and i probably need to re read, but Geno does have that giant scar across his chest. So perhaps he may also struggle with it? Or maybe more like a dissociative feeling, where he can’t tell if his reality is real or not, rather than believing he is dead.

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?

My impulse response is the Hunger Games. Not because I think it suits him, but because I wonder how he'd be. I feel like he'd be an earlier capitol citizen (TBOSAS) as a rebel sympathizer or a current Capitol rebel (like Fulvia in Mockingjay).

7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

I like it when he's presented with tree/wood like aspects to his design. The same goes for Nightmare.

15. What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.)

I mean, while I might prefer Dreamberry, I lean with interest towards aroace-spec Dream. Though I guess that'd mean Dreamberry is my favorite.
