Criticism i will not accept about Nintendo and Disney adults: Blunt ableism about a person getting excited to see their favorite character in real life: they aren't doing anything to bother anyone they are just happy to see a character they like and yet you think that is weird for some reason.. I wonder why.

Sylvester and Horace: A unexplained beef in-universe.

These rumbling was inspired by @sweettjrose Blot and Goofy post.

I was have mentioned the mutual rivalry between Horace and Sylvester a handful of time here, even made a headcanon explaining how this happened ans now it time for a history lesson.

The frist time was in fittingly Sylvester first comic- "Race to Death Valley" where Horace has this about Sly.

Now normally this won't lead anywhere, it just be seen as a warning given by a older figure.

But then Sylvester got his revenge for that comment in "Great Orphanage Robbery" where Sylvester frames Horace for the Robbery.

Still, what are the chances this in some Sylvester's morden appearances, surely this only happens twice in his classical appearances-

So yeah Sylvester and Horace have a werid history of beefing with eachother- we don't know how this started but it's my favorite weird fact.

Fionna and Cake Season 2: What went wrong?

With the season 2 ending, I came to realize this season despite the decent end was overall weak compared to season 1. Be aware they will be spoilers below

Perface: I been watching adventure time since I was a little kid and I stuck with it watching the majority of the episodes including the final . Don't try to pull a tourist on me, i know this series well.

1- Misleading ads

When the frist trailers for the new season came out. It gave the impression this season would be similar to season one, a altnuniversal jumping adventure, this time with huntress wizard doing so with Fionna . It wasn't. Instead we spend the majority of our time in Fionna's world doing slice of life romance, with most of the cool stuff in the ads being dreams. While dreams are important in the adventure time universe, I think people have every right to be upset by the misleading ads, it like being promised you'll get a cup of coffee but instead be handed a cup of tea. There's nothing necessary wrong with tea but it's not what you were promised or personally enjoy.

2- DJ Flame. Not a character. Just a conflict.

This main issue with the Fionna side of the writing. Her crush for DJ Flame fell hallow and shallow because we know nothing about him, not even why Fionna would like him outside of him being good with kids (wow so interesting). If Flame was just was complex as his flame counterpart - being trapped by a abusive home and being told it's in his nature to be evil with Fionna seeing the more gentle and loving side to him that even he can't see that would have been ten time more interesting because suddenly what if the break up was because Flame was convinced he was evil and might hurt someone he loved by his mother, but no he just a dick I guess...

3- Uneven conflicts.

There are two main conflicts in season, saving Finn the main character we know and love for seveal season from dying and... saving a small business.. While the sweet spot is important for the characters in story we have little reasons to care about it, making it frustrating when it gets sceeentime since we very reasonable care more about Finn not dying than for a location that just got introduced this season, and Futhermore they feel completely unrelated to eachother, making it feel more uneven. Let's compare this to season 1, where the conflict was bit more even with Simon wanting to save Betty and Fionna and Cake needing to go with him to avoid being captured and destroy by Scarb. Not only are all the characters are the same page but the conflict is high for both sides, we know how much Betty means to Simon and while we aren't as familiar with this version of Fionna and Cake, they are likeble enough that we won't want to see them fall to such a fate.

4- The destruction of the sweet spot and Fionna Character.

While we don't necessarily care much about the sweet spot, seeing Fionna destroy her friends business for such a weak and frankly spiteful reason felt like blunt Character assassination. It would be one thing if Fionna was drunk and not in the right state of mind but the girl was completely sober . And don't start with you hate characters that are flawed. Fionna has never shown one her flaws is being spiteful towards her friends. Yes can be reckless and destructive like Finn, but not to point of destroying her friends business out spite while sober. They really should just had her kiss DJ Flame because as bad it is,at least is fairly in character with her reckless and destructive behavior. Or if they really want it happen at least have her be drunk while doing so to soften the blow. This is fire and ice but somehow even worse when comes to writings our main character, because at least Finn was a kid who wasn't familiar with the yes and nos when comes to romance relationships, it was still occ but at least he got that.

5- Witch Wizard Suddenly becoming evil and power hungry.

??????? Again flaws that didn't exist suddenly coming to existence. Like before that Episode she was protecting the heart from outsiders and there's no hint she herself is power hungry. Even with the context the green wizards we forcing the heart to stay in one place and exploiting, it never really hinted the green wizards we're necessarily power hungry. They really needed more screen time if that what they were going for.

Any good?

Huntress wizard. She's the best part of this mess of a season. My only issue that her calling Fionna a nice person feel a bit unearned since they didn't really bounded all that much. But overall she was great.

I have a little question: Does Mickey really have PTSD?!?!?

Honestly, it's not unreasonable to think that he would be traumatized after all the things he's experienced in the movies and comics.

While It's headcanon, it one those head canon that has a lot of textual proof within the stories. Mickey sometimes have nigthmares about his enemies and flashbacks to the events which are some of the main  symptoms of PSTD.

And given everything Mickey has to deal with, yeah, at bare minimum, he has to be traumatized, look at this shit.

Hi. I noticed something while reading old comic (especially in the 1940s) books:

Mickey and Minnie are always cheating on each other. Minnie is especially good at it. Mickey cheats on her (especially in "Mickey's New Girlfriend"), but Mickey still cares about and needs Minnie. However, when Minnie cheats on him, she acts like "ungrateful," to Mickey, even though they reconcile at the end of the story.

But the problem I don't understand is that for some reason the writers treat these events as if they were normal, and no character properly criticizes them. 😭

Alright, let set one thing stright,outside the blunt racism, these soap opera drama plots are by far the thing that shows these comics were made in a different time.

Cheating as we seen it today is very different for how it was seen back them. Dating was still a bit of new concept back in the 30s and 40s, so the morden ideas what is and what is not cheating weren't really thing for couples who were just dating with no set plans.

It was actually somewhat normal for one to date more than one person befoe deciding who to settle down with before the world wars. Cheating only became a real concern if the couple in question was married.

Obviously today things are different as dating is treated more seriously and if you want to date more than one person you got to talk about it with your partner. But obviously nobody going call them out on a standard that didn't really exist. You can actually see this as early as love trouble where Clarabelle and Patricia pig speak about Minnie now being with Mortimer as causally as talking about the weather.

There also the fact Bill Walsh took over the writing in 40s staring in 1943, and specially did the writing for mention Mickeys girlfriend and Walsh characterzition for Mickey and Minnie is quite different from how Floyd and his past writers characterzited them which is a whole different can of worms, I just say in the camp that Walsh stories were very hit or miss for me and leave at there because I would have to reread them to properly write my thoughts on his style.

Remember when people would pin detectives against Dexter. After watching a good amount of Dexter vs detective videos I have come to realization that comic Mickey has a high likely hood chance of arresting Dexter.

And here's the thing it isn't just because he a character used for comedy, Mickey is weirdly able to counter most of Dexter usually tricks to try to get rid of detectives- there's the obvious fact Dexter would underestimate the cute tiny friendly mouse person.

But even if Dexter try to frame Mickey, Mickey would just break out of jail as he done several times in the comics when he does get framed to the the shock of Dexter.

Try to kill him by tieing him to a kill table after hitting him with that syringe? Bad news Mickey has escaped death traps before while in a drugged states with his wits.

It's questionable Dexter would even get to that point, because even if Mickey great detective skills are well known and famous- it still Mickey, Dexter take a bit to realize how skilled he really is. While I can see Mickey clocking Dexer as suspicious pretty early on as Mickey is shown to have a pretty good gut but still being extremely friendly towards him while collecting proof behind his back

Dexter can't even flee to get away, not only would Mickey go after him as he shown to do so even out of the city limits. He is good friends with Captain Doberman, a high ranking member of the army who also connections to the freaking secret service who in Mickeys universe have a spy network that works worldwide on missions

Dexter is so doomed man.
