Nice shot of a couple air cranes. One setup is for firefighting, and other is for lifting and construction!
RAISE THIS MOON Kinda funny... I took this photo many moons ago, and then forgot about it. One night, I walked past a construction sight near my apartment, and just happened to see the moon sitting right underneath the sky crane. This being Hollywood, the first thing that popped into my head was the concept of the crane raising the moon like a stage prop, and the image simply stuck. =P I tried taking some pics with my phone, but it just wasn't up to afterdark photography, and by the time I got home and brought my camera, of course, the moon was no longer aligned. :( I spent several lunar phases with a tripod and just about every setting tweak I could think of on my camera, but the only shot that turned out was an early evening one from some nearby rooftop parking. By the next phase, the crane was gone, but I'm hoping someday I might luck out and find another, better angle elsewhere, and if I do, you'll find it here.

Marsrover Curiosity werd op 6 augustus 2012 op het oppervlak van Mars gezet met een ingenieuze Sky Crane, jullie kunnen je dat vast nog wel herinneren. Nu blijkt dat ook de Europese ruimtevaartorganisatie bezig is met het StarTiger project, dat ook zo’n landingstoestel kent, een ‘dropship quadcopter’ genaamd. Hieronder beelden van een test met een klein model ervan, eentje met een rover eronder.
