Since 1970 James Turrell has conceived of many sky spaces around the world.
a sky space often is in a specifically proportioned chamber with an aperture on the ceiling open to the sky. the aperture is constructed in a way that it conceals the thickness of the ceiling structure - the framed sky seems to float.
