The Westfalls are a chaotic, messy, vibrant family. Phoenix does what he wants when he wants and then somehow skirts the consequences later. His husband Jasper keeps him and their two adopted children from going too far, but is usually happy to be pulled into the fun. Their son Noa is all teenage angst and gloomy thoughts, but has a genuine interest in the arts that Phoenix and Jasper are heavily encouraging. Sky is sunlight personified, the complete opposite of her older brother, but the two are thick as thieves. Along with their raccoon, Gremlin, who knows what this family will get up to?
Phoenix saw the ad for the opportunity to move to an undeveloped world, and was taken away with grand ideas of building a city the way he thinks it should be built. Jasper sits him down for a semi-serious conversation (as serious as Phoenix gets, anyway) and they talk over the logistics of the plan.
