Final 6 posters- Evaluation
These are the final 6 outcomes. Overall I think the posters work really well as a series, we wanted it to be clear that the series will have something to do with hypnosis and I think that the 1 image of the eye does just that. At first myself and Arron were really stuck when it came to developing the idea and found that we were over complicating the shots. After looking at other examples of DOOH campaigns we noticed that it is all about keeping it simple. Our initial idea was to have multiple characters playing out their dears and turn that into a cinemagraph however after some discussion we realised that it would look to busy as a series. Mr Cradle is the main bad guy here who wants people to feel their worst fears over and over again and using his eye as the main image made more sense. To get a little more creative we decided to film separate short clips to put inside his eye which reflects those fears he implements on his victims.
Things that we could have improved on is to improve the clips for ‘darkness’ and ‘blood’. I feel that the two are not as strong as the rest of the series.
Overall I really enjoyed this project, it was interesting to work with different mediums and getting them to work as a series which has definitely made me see how photography works in a different light.
