Well tbh as an anarchist, I’ve got beef with all politicians. But Bernie Sanders in particular... a lot of people bought into his ideas (even some anarchists) and he literally pushed his platform as a “revolution” when it really... was not. He did not have an issue with continuing wars and military presence across the globe, did not have an issue with our surveillance state, and in general pandered to the left by occasionally briefly mentioning popular issues like police brutality or the war on drugs. He said a few nice things and loads of people forgot he was a rich, white politician with no actual stake in the day to day issues of ordinary people and creepily worshiped him. Just to name a few reasons, I guess.

Balthus’s team is almost exclusively muscle, like him!!!

His starter would be Incineroar! This wrestling cat matches his showy, all out, fighting style with a little flare! 

Second on the list is Nidoking! The King of Grappling would definitely have a King like pokemon, and purple matches his aesthetic!!

Machamp just had to be on the list. Four arms, four times the amazing muscle!

Bewear!!! I love Bewear so much, and it hugs with strength it doesn’t realize it has... (Relatable for Balthus LOL) Plus I personally call him Baltie Bear, so I wanted a bear pokemon

So this one is a little out of place, but I included Lycanroc as a call to Balthus’s house, the Ashen Wolves! I also thought the midnight one is 1) dope as hell, and 2) Maybe alludes to how Balthus can be a little sly sometimes? Very rarely though LOL He occasionally has one braincell, as a treat. 

Okay, Chansey seems completely and utterly out of place, BUT- Balthus is actually a war monk, meaning his other specialty is healing! So he has a healing pokemon with him!!

That’s such a weird fucking mentality a lot of people have, like they feel pets are obligated to accept attention and affection and people get legit mad at animals who don’t want interaction. It’s frustrating to say the least

i know!! and it’s not like she doesn’t understand that some cats don’t like attention from other people than their main person, bc she had a cat who was meaner and /never/ let anyone pet her. just. don’t fucking yell at my cat dude lmao
