Question here. I was scrolling through your posts and one of them mentioned apathy... As in that it can be related to people who are aro/ace, and, well, I've been having troubles and worries about said apathy, and was linking it to depression and the like, but it may be not? Am I getting this right?

i have no idea what post this is about, and honestly i'm unlikely to have the spoons to search for it anytime soon. this will just be me taking the vibes of what you've said and doing my best, sorry:

generally, speaking as a depressed individual, noting what apathy is caused by depression and what is from more "personal" things is a pretty regular question. the main thing i consider is, topic. apathy in general (ie, relating to most/all things) is likely depression. apathy towards something specific (ie, romantic media) is likely relating to something else, such as personally not caring for it.

so, being aro and/or ace can cause apathy towards related, specific things, but a general apathy towards life is likely related to depression and I would advise that if you have the means, to speak to a therapist about it and/or seek other mental health resources.
