Hi there. I just wanted to say thank you, for all the help you've given to the community over the years. My question today, is this: With Sydri, Galvanic Genius' animate artifact ability. Will cards like Skysoverign, the consul flagship, still gain their abilities. Such as flying? Or do they have to be crewed?

As for your question, Skysovereign always has flying. Always. It just doesn’t do anything unless Skysovereign is also a creature. This means that as soon as Sydri fires up that Consul Flagship with her blue mojo, it’s already in the skies and ready to soar over some poor creatures on the other side of the battlefield.

AIRSHIPS?!?

Last time Magic saw any real airships was with the Weatherlight and Predator. Now that i’m thinking about it, wouldn’t it be awesome if in Aether Revolt the rebels made an airship to counteract Skysovereign just like how Predator and Weatherlight where competing ships? I don’t know, but massive airship battles would be awesome.
