AURORA musical voyage theory

WARNING: Spoilers if you haven't seen the virtual AURORA concert! I highly suggest seeing it before you read this post!

Just experienced the AURORA concert with 2473 other sky kids (wow) and it was beautiful. I haven't been to a concert in years so this was definitely an exciting event.

However during "Warrior" I noticed something that sparked a small theory. During Warrior's story we could see Mantas being captured before eventually breaking free at the end.

My theory is that in the old days of sky, spirits captured and enslaved Mantas for personal gain, amusement, and labor. We've seen examples of Mantas being used by spirits in multiple situations already:

-Warrior of Love's quest: Mantas were being used for racing. Spirits would get on their backs and race on them -In the Nintendo Switch release animated trailer a manta was pulling a boat. We can also see a Manta pulling a boat in the wind paths. -The mantas in the Season of Abyss area. You know the ones captured undersea? Yea them.

Mantas were likely captured from the wild and used for labor and such. However at some point they either escaped, or some spirit created a law that banned Manta slavery, because a lot of the examples we've seen in game and in promotional material happened before the events of the game, before our Skykids were born. Nowadays we see Mantas roaming freely, kidnapping us, being caught in darkness, not a single manta is being forced to work (except the Windpath Manta, poor them)
