A tale as old as time.
The big day had finally arrived, and Hunter was as nervous and love drunk as ever. John had spent the night with Sen, leaving Hunter to fuss about over last minute details as he promised he would. He also made it to the venue without trouble as he promised he would. So far so good. He dressed and readied himself in the quiet of a back room, only minorly struggling with his bow-tie before asking Sen for help with a sheepish smile. As he stepped out to face the big moment he couldn't help but look out over the venue with a proud sigh, it was everything they’d wanted. Friends and family come together under the bond of their love to enjoy a day painted in sky and navy blues, lilies and candles. There were faces he knew and adored looking back at him as the ceremony started. He smiled so wide at the sea of adoring eyes from where he stood at the altar, waiting for the moment when John would step out and their lives would really begin. When the piano started, and pregnant silence fell over their guests he could swear time stopped, his heart pounding as we waited for that single moment. And then he was there, John standing with Sen at the end of the aisle, his entire world lit up just to see him, the black veil he wore so uniquely John that it made him giggle. Tears filled his eyes as he watched his husband walk toward him, their love on display for all to see. As they reached the altar, and Sen gave John away, he knew that there was no moment in time more perfect than this. They had written their own vows, their words filling the hall with proclamations of eternities spent together in love and happiness, culminating with two words spoken in two voices, taking the harmonies of a symphony written in feeling to its final joyous peak. I Do.
