My Latin was thirty years ago so I KNOW you weren't my teacher, but you and she would have gotten along famously. Our final involved a full-on dinner complete with couches and a roast pig. They wouldn't let us actually light the fire in the classroom, though, more's the pity.

The healers promised the council that he was fit for duty, but we fear that this is just another way to self-destruct." Mace knew Obi-Wan was listening, but his head was hung down low.
"He's no longer my problem, Mace," it was barely a whisper.

Probably because Poe WAS a supporting character starting out. The character was supposed to die in the TIE crash, but the actor talked his way into a bigger part.
I know about all that. But again, if they wanted to make him a member of the trio, he should have been given a storyline of his own and mores screentime.
