My favorite sims for photography
Here’s a directory to my absolute favorite sims to take pictures in within Second Life! I’ll update this whenever I find a new location! Be advised that if you are reading this article some time in the future, some of these locations may have changed. Always be sure you check the posted rules (and age rating!) at any location you visit to ensure you are following them. Also remember that many of these locations are frequently visited and used by people trying to enjoy the sim’s theme. Please don’t go trampling all over with flashing lights and neon signs. Be respectful of each location and its inhabitants.
Fantasy (nature, towns, etc)
Chronicles of Lynnea Gorgeous seasonally changing fantasy sim with tons of nature photo-ops as well as a few highly-detailed and fleshed out medieval fantasy towns. Also has a very nice underwater set-up that’s a bit hard to find, but worth seeking out. (Adult Sim, Roleplay Sim: Please be respectful)
Fair Haven Go through the door to visit a sparkling underground cavern full of crystals, or head upstairs to visit a few medieval-styled buildings and ruins. (Adult Sim)
Sci-fi
INSILICO Cyberpunk City
(Moderate Sim, Roleplay Sim: Please be respectful)
Cocoon Cyberpunk City (Moderate Sim, Roleplay Sim: Please be respectful)

Soul2Soul River Beautiful river and nature set-up. Lots of good photo spots. (Moderate Sim)
Small Towns
The Town of Stepford WARNING: DISTURBING CONTENT, visit at own risk Quaint 1950′s town with a dark secret. Some nice photo ops though! (Adult Sim, Roleplay Sim: Please be respectful)
Sedgwick Heights Modern-Day small town with a nice waterfront (Moderate Sim, Roleplay Sim: Please be respectful)
Apple Ridge Modern-day small town (Moderate Sim, Roleplay Sim: Please be respectful)
Bedroom
Neon Love Hotel Aesthetic themed hotel room set-ups with fun props and furniture (Adult Sim)

3 gorgeous places to get your autumn on!
3 gorgeous places to get your autumn on!
Now summer is really over, my favourite season has arrived: Autumn! Being a September child, Autumn always brings back happy memories of birthday parties, a new winter coat, hiking boots and comfort food such as pea-soup and stews! And yeah, also the less joyful things as rain, wet socks, muddy floors and struggling to get to the weekly market on my bicycle.
Anyway, in SecondLife there is no…

Australian Outback Christmas - Second Life
As you skate on the frozen lake at Calas Galadhon or explore the delightful “Let It Snow” with Bing Crosby crooning about a White Christmas in your earphones you could easily forget that in half of the world Christmas falls in Summer. I visited Australian Outback Christmas where I found they celebrate Christmas a little different ‘Down Under.’
The first thing is you notice is the dry heat. Kangaroos shelter from the sun under a white gum tree.
It’s true that Santa Claus is here, but in Australia there is no sledge and Kangaroos replace the Reindeer.
A barbecue replaces the traditional Turkey and Christmas Pudding as served in England.
Thankfully there was good Wi-Fi reception so I could still log on. There are twelve small gifts hidden about the sim to add interest; I found searching for marsupials also entertaining. They occur everywhere.
There are lots of nice touches to be seen here and there. I liked the dog watching the dripping tap for example as it shelters from the sun under the house.
If you want a break from all the snow covered sims why not visit Australian Outback Christmas; I found it well worth exploring.
