21. What stops you from writing more in your free time?

oh, decision paralysis, chronic migraines, general exhaustion, executive dysfunction, having way too many things i want to do and not enough time...the usual. being full-time employed and working a weird shift (3pm to midnight) means i am always tired and i have very weird times in which to do things so. not a lot besides essentials gets done. and also sometimes there's The Depression.

29. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?

absolutely no way to tell. the longer it takes the write, the more times i usually revise it, as every time i open the doc to work on something i will go back over what i've written and edit as i go. everything usually gets at least 1-2 once-overs to check for typos and such, and in terms of multichapters i will double check each chapter an extra time before uploading. other than that it really just depends.

stopped reading orv maybe a third of the way through -- not because i didnt enjoy it, it just happens sometimes you know how it is -- anyway ur orv posting is convincing me to pick it up again because a. i miss them and b. the fanartists r insanely good and c. why does kim dokja turn jnto some guy called reinhardt agdjfna??.?

a. based—i didnt realize how much i missed them till i started reading the side story/sequel

b. the fan artist are so good!!! like it's amazing i get to see this stuff with my eyes for free?? they're so generous but u will never catch me complaining. i actually wanna get back into drawing in part cause of all the pretty stuff i see + the side story is making me ill

c. you'll have to read and find out ;)) (though you will have to brace yourself if you have a strong visual imagination. he goes blonde.)

thoughts on reepicheep

huge fan. i love to refer to him as the world's most quotable mouse. when i was seven and had just seen prince caspian in theaters my siblings and i waltzed around our house Relentlessly quoting every single reepicheep line including the lesser-known but no less iconically bitchy "we can collect nuts?" "yes! and throw them at the telmarines! SHUT UP." perhaps it's the redwall fan in me (could not tell you if i encountered narnia or redwall first) but i've always loved a mouse with a sword it's really Such a trope and i think we need one million more immediately.

that being said sometimes in dawn treader (at least the book) i did want to punt him a bit. stop trying to— reepi— REEPICHEEP sit down and STOP trying to challenge the dragon to a duel. he very much embodies lewis' ideal about how it's dishonorable Not to accept every challenge and adventure or whatever which incidentally also happens to pop up at the end of lww when susan doesn't want to keep going forward but all her siblings overrule her saying "it would be cowardly not to take the adventure that falls to us!" and then. you know. leave narnia. and clive i'm sorry i'm a little bit with susan here. i think perhaps we should not sail onwards towards the dark island. really nobody needs that. thanks.

it's a fascinating aspect of his character at any rate and i'm always a bit sad he just fucked off to aslan's country like nooo...come back reepicheep we need you serving cunt it saved the movie version along with will poulter as eustace....reepicheep NOOO....

also did you know his sword has a tiny mouse on the pommel and they forged a REAL SCALED VERSION OF IT and i don't know where it is or who has it but i would kill to get my hands on the sword of reepicheep the chief mouse....
