Hello all! Here is my second outfit post from Japan. On our second day in Japan we decided to walk around Shinjuku area. The area is full of restaurants and shopping malls but we somehow found this lovely little temple amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. Knowing that our next destination was going to be Koenji area (where my favorite Tokyo vintage shop Aileen by Grog Grog is) I thought it’s best to shoot my outfits around the temple before I got distracted by the vintage shops!

You can already tell that I did indeed bring limited number of pieces for my Japan travel. Learning from our last trip we knew there was going to be a lot of traveling around - meaning that we would be carrying our suitcases up and down a billion stairs and I knew I need something I can actually carry myself! I wore the same leather jacket and shoes, but I wore my new Vivien of Holloway separates. I have to admit I am madly in love with these two pieces and haven’t really stopped wearing them even now that I am back in London.

The VoH slash neck top is just perfection. The color is vibrant and fun and the jersey material is perfect for layering in unpredictable Japanese spring. The top is pretty much wrinkle-free and I found that after washing I could easily roll it into my suitcase and it holds its shape beautifully. It is definitely one of the best tops I have in my wardrobe. I went for a size small and found that the fit is perfect for me. I love the length of the sleeves and unlike some similar tops I have from other brands the neckline is stitched down which means you don’t have to iron the neckline to place. 

The VoH skirt was a perfect companion to this top. The material is not too thick but it has polyester lining to avoid wrinkling. The length is perfect for my 5′5″ frame and looks good with both flats and heels. My outfit made me look like a lindy hopper and I can tell you it is indeed as comfortable as it is fashionable. I wanted to bring out the color of the top more with some accessory, so I picked a matching headscarf and experimented with some twists and turns and ended up with this on my head! I kinda love it!

I’ll keep this post short as I am still planning to write a longer blog post about my travel. I was itching to show you this outfit though, it's so much fun! But yes I will eventually muster up the strength and will power to write a proper traveling blog post.
