Winter/Christmas Destinations Already?

"It's starting to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go." Decorating for Christmas seems to come earlier and earlier every year. This must also include Second Life sims as well. I am an avid explorer and love to find new places, so I'm always checking out the destination guide in the SL client and the destination page through the browser. Of course, naturally, I look at the featured first to see what's trending that I would enjoy exploring. Someone please tell me why the front page is already winter and Christmas? This might have even started around Halloween time too, because at least at certain stores I went shopping in-world at they were already decorated for the holidays.

I'll be honest, if I weren't just trying to get through Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping right now, I'd be all for starting my decor early. However, come on... we just stopped handing out candy. Who else feels this way about decorating for the holidays? I know it can't just be me?
