this may seem odd but do you put any bass in the go child songs? I’m planning on doing a bass cover of one of the songs but I can barely pick up on any bass line to cover that or if there is I’m just a dingus and can’t hear it!
I do for a few songs, although a lot of the time the bassline ends up being just long drawn out notes to support the chord being played (the “i’m sorry, cello players” approach), which is something I’m trying to make better moving forward. There are a few songs with more robust basslines though. I know there’s a moving bassline in Threshold and Monster Town. There’s also KINDA one in Atlanta. That said I do have them pretty high on the register, so they definitely don’t fall into the usual bass tones (again. Something to improve)
