Made a Talisman/spell pouch for my partner that turned out surprisingly well.
So my partner often has trouble sleeping, frequently gets nightmares etc. So I offered to make a herb mix pouch to help him sleep.
Turns out he had a major PhD related presentation to give today for candidacy approval!! So I went one step further & went ahead n made a spell pouch for restful sleep at night & confidence during the day.
Ingredients:
- couple of tea spoons of dried thyme for confidence, positivity and to ward off nightmares - Couple of tea spoons of dried lavender flowers that were gifted to me at basically the perfect time. For restful sleep & serenity. - 1 small citrine tumbled stone to dispel nightmares and for increasing self-esteem, joy and intellectual inspiration. - 1 tailored sigil for peaceful sleep, waking up refreshed & banishing anxiety - 1 lucky penny gifted to me by a friend in class for good fortune.
How: -Created a sacred space, for me this involves a small salt circle, a prayer & then -stating my intention (plus throwing salt over my left shoulder). -Lit a white pillar candle (my kitchen candle) -I combined all of these ingredients into a small cotton canvas drawstring pouch -Ran the pouch through frankincense & rose smoke to seal the spell (this smoke was chosen because both are considered holy in my faith tradition, Frankincense = Divine Purity; Rose = Divine Love, The Prophet, Flower of heaven). - Pop it on the bed head (ours is iron swirls so I hang it from one of those) - Put it in a bag or pocket the next morning & take it out into the world with you.
So there you go, this spell can be adapted endlessly, I’ve made who knows how many variations depending on what it is needed for. I love sachets/pouches/bags because you can smell the herbs inside which makes aromatherapy possible, they’re soft (which is good if they are intended to provide comfort) and you can hang them off things, like bed heads for example.
