pov: you and your friends are the children of fairytale characters and you've lived in the same small town all your lives: 4/?
~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~
Forty days and forty nights
I waited for a girl like you to come and save my life
All the days I waited for you
You know the ones who said I'd never find someone like you
~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~
'Cause you were out of my league
All the things I believed
You were just the right kind
Yeah, you were more than just a dream
You were out of my league
Got my heartbeat racing
If I die, don't wake me
'Cause you are more than just a dream
~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~
From time to time I pinch myself
Because I think my girl mistakes me for somebody else
And every time she takes my hand
All the wonders that remain
Become a simple fact
Ignoring the feminine pronouns, this song really embodies a lot of PJ's insecurities. Leo is the "golden boy" football player, valedictorian, town sweetheart who can do no wrong. The perfect dude (on the outside at least.) PJ is the "dumb kid" slacker who can't pay attention in class and always gets hurt doing something stupid.
Leo actually desiring PJ is something of a shock for him, especially since Leo's bisexual ass could have his pick of literally anyone in the school.
The moodboard really highlights their differences: PJ's section has his typical clothing choice of a Hawaiian shirt, while Leo's has his letterman's jacket. Leo's side has his trophy collection, while PJ has a failed book report. Leo has a football, and PJ has a battered knee, showcasing his lack of athletic ability.
