This is a queer friendly space. This AU includes trans and non-binary characters, characters in same-sex relationships, aromantic and asexual characters, and queer M/F presenting pairings. If this bothers you, leave and come back when you're a better person.

I try to keep things fairly neutral when it comes to characters, but I will say, shade will be thrown at Rumple, Zelena, and Neal Cassidy/Baelfire. I will ALWAYS tag "anti [character]" if a post needs it. Block accordingly.

Summary (for now): Twelve princesses try to bring music and dance back to their kingdom after their tyrannical parents ban them, but get in over their heads when they realize just how deep the queen and king's secrets go.

Genere: Fairytale

It's a retelling of the fairytale The Shoes That Were Danced to Pieces/ The Twelve Dancing Princesses.

POV: Third person limited. There are two POV characters that switch between chapters.

Which is funny when you consider the fact that Roland hasn't seen him in awhile and still recognizes him when he comes back.

The rest of the Merrymen are jealous.

Bet it's because Warren spoiled the hell out of Roland while he was living with the men lol

The RWYLM crew all have this habit that annoys them to death:

They'll sometimes find themselves humming sea shanties when they're working because of Rowena.

Oh they absolutely hate that lol.

I imagine they all start using pirate/sailor terms as well, since Rowena does.

Drives them nuts.

Rowena: ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, and Depression.

Silver: Autism and PTSD.

Warren: PTSD.

Do you think anyone in the group is neurotypical?

...you know, I don't think so.

Kiran and Pen are both autistic, and Pen also has PTSD.

Tempest is also probably some flavor of autistic, and maybe she has dyspraxia and dyslexia, since she seems to have trouble with her studies, and general clumsiness caused by dyspraxia.

I could see Gerhardt being neurotypical before he was Frankensteined, but after is a whole different beast

Meanwhile, Taran ain't neurotypical, I just don't know what's wrong with him lol

Aris definitely has issues of some kind, dunno what.

Hildegard I think is fully neurotypical, and is just a spoiled princess lol
