"It's like I'm dating a cat."
Tim muttered to himself before starting the scavenger hunt to find you this morning. You always fall asleep cuddling, but he always wakes up alone with you asleep at a wildly different location. He'd find it charming if it didn't scare him so much. He never knows where he'll find you asleep. What if you left the apartment you two shared? Gotham is dangerous at night, especially for someone who is asleep.
You always cling to him like a koala when you two fall asleep. He can also fall asleep anywhere, so he can't truly get angry. You experience the same panic. He likes to think he has more common spots than you, though. You tend to fall asleep in the bed and end up on the other side of the apartment you both shared.
He sighed as he walked through each room, checked under every piece of furniture you two owned, before finally finding you asleep on the ceiling hanging upside-down like a bat in the kitchen.
"How did you even get up there?!"
Tim complained to himself. He was at a loss for words. He had no idea how the physics works nor how you seem to be literally suctioned to the ceiling, but he knew he'd have to find a way to get you down before you wake up and panic.
He glared playfully at your sleeping form. He could never be genuinely mad at you, but of course, you had to find a way to sleep on the ceiling. Who does he even call to get you down? A firefighter? The apartment manager? Mantinence?
"911, what's your emergency?"
"My partner is stuck to the ceiling."
That would be a great conversation. They would probably think he snorted a line of cocaine. Tim huffs in frustration. Mantinence it is then. He could use a ladder to get you down.
"Maintenance, this is Dave speaking."
Tim sighs through his nose while looking up at your sleeping form and shaking his head.
"Can I borrow a ladder from you?"
Dave seemed to pause in confusion before agreeing to drop off the ladder. Tim quirks an eyebrow at you, taking note of the way you shift to hug the ceiling. You stuck to the ceiling like glue, seemingly defying the law of gravity.
He shakes his head in disbelief before hearing a knock on the door. He opens the door far enough to grab the ladder. He nods his thanks before shutting the door again.
After setting up the ladder, he climbed the steps to be eye level with you. He tried to gently pull you off the ceiling, but you were stuck like a magnet. He tried harder and harder to pry you off, but he couldn't. He chose a different approach, gently shaking you.
"Y/N, baby, it's time to wake up."
You merely groan but lean into his warm touch. Tim can't fight off the smile on his face. Even when you're asleep, you seem to know it's him.
He decides maybe hugging you would get you to wrap your arms around him, and he can pull you down.
With a gentle kiss on your temple, Tim managed to slowly pry you off the ceiling.
You grumble in his arms as you cuddle closer to the warmth of Tim's body. He smiles fondly down at you. Your face was relaxed with sleep. A small smile crossed your face as if you knew it was him holding you. Your body melts into his arms to immediately find its perfect fit in his arms. He murmured softly,
"Let's get you to bed, baby."
Your head rests into the crook of his neck as he carries you to bed. He wants to cuddle a little bit longer. He knows you'll be gone when he wakes up again, but he can enjoy cuddling you while he gets the chance to.
