There’s a second or two where he had considered ignoring the voice tickling his ear; instinctively turning his head away before sitting up abruptly, a hand reaching for a weapon that wasn’t there. Jumpy. Unusual, for him. When the bells in his head cease, he finally looks to Blanche.

In retrospect, it was probably a good thing he could not reach for a weapon (not that he really needed one if the situation dire enough). The last thing he’d want is to hurt his companion here. He seems to pause in thought, closing his eyes.. he couldn’t recall what had really caused him to react the way he did. A dream..? Most likely. He doubt his memories would lurk so closely and yet so out of reach.. but..
