The stretch
How do I tell you that I love you, and that's why I can't be with you. How do I let you know that I spent time and energy and gave you so, so much trust just to have you in bed? I worked hard to be naked around you. I nearly wrecked myself all over again, just to feel you touch me. And when I said it needed to stop, you didn't even bat an eye. How is it that you care so little about the things we did in our leisure time. How could you not give a single shit that I had to rip my skin from my body to be close to you, and then not be phased when I had to ask for it back? You asked why I felt inferior around you. You asked why I felt insignificant compared to the girls you undress with your eyes at the bar. You asked why I felt disposable when you wouldn't notice my lack of presence once I took myself out of your life. You know why.
