Cupcake
Hazel meets a new pizza on her floor and gives her one of her freshly baked cupcakes. (Another fic based on @alextydaisuda123's art.) (This is also a first meeting fic.)
If someone asked her what the best part about opening your own café is, well, Hazel wouldn't have a single answer. She can't, after all, there's plenty of great parts like being able to bake all of these pastries, surrounding herself with the scent of coffee, oooh and making her own menu! That's one of the fun parts!
She likes exploring all sorts of combos! Chocolate-covered corncobs, Spaghetti with sprinkles, and Cheesy cupcakes to name a few! They're not for everyone, so she usually makes enough for herself and a handful of people, but she doesn't mind that; different people have different tastes and if they don't like one, chances are that they might like the next thing she makes!
Every customer likes something from her menu! Even if it's just the normal coffee or pastries. She has a couple regulars that like their usual black coffees or sweet biscuits.
But this one time. Well, she saw someone float by the café while she was cleaning. She thought it was just the pizza guy that hired her in the first place, but no! They had no mustache, had makeup on and they floated by so slowly that she managed to see their pretty face in the first place.
She didn't know there were two giant floating pizzas here! The first guy rarely shows up here anymore but she could have another regular here!
The next day, she baked cupcakes of all sorts of flavors: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, cheese, carrot, pizza...
There were a lot. She decorated all of them too; each one had something completely unique like marshmallows, a chocolate bunny, or little slices of pepperoni!
She wanted them to choose something they'd like! She even made both tea and coffee. (And had a bottle of water just in case they liked neither.)
Hazel was determined to get to know more about them. She waited until it was around the same time she saw them and then went outside with the tray of cupcakes.
They were going to float past her café again when she greeted them, grabbing one of the cupcakes in her tray to show it to them as she talks.
"Hi there! I'm Hazel! I saw you floating by yesterday and I just wanted to know you better; you're like the second pizza I've seen and that's just so neat—"
"Well," they started, their voice sounding old, "I never thought someone would want to know me better."
She lowers it for now, "Why wouldn't they? You look so pretty! I like your eyeshadow."
"Thank you, dearie. Most people would say something about my big mouth."
"Oh?" She can relate to that. "Do you talk a lot too?"
"This old lady certainly has some stories and tips to tell," she says with a wink.
"I'd like to listen to them. Oh! Maybe I could grab one of the chairs and a table and we could chat while having a snack?" She places it back in the tray and shows all of them to her. "I'd offer for us to go inside but the door's..."
"Not the first time I've heard that I'm too big to go somewhere, bunny."
She goes back in and takes out a small table from her café, "It's not your fault. I should've counted for other beings..." Grabbing the chair and tray, she continues their conversation, "There's also a couple of tiny pizza toppings that I see running around. They might like a treat if they could reach the counter."
She giggles, "Trust me the Toppins would love them." She looks down at the tray and Hazel remembered that pizzas don't have arms nor hands, "Do you mind helping me with these cupcakes?"
"Not at all miss...?"
"Call me... Giselle."
"Nice to meet you, Ms. Giselle!"
And that's how she met the's the best customer she's had! Great company and she likes her special dishes! She likes tea more than coffee, but besides that Giselle's great!
