I'm sleepy I'm running this blog. In an attempt to learn more about building online communities I set up this account to start from scratch! I've never been one to really have an online presence but as I am increasingly underemployed and have difficulty working, I'm more interested in working where I feel comfortable; online!

And so on and so forth. I thought it would be nice to meet people and organize fan projects and other fun things. I just have a lot of things I need to learn how to do first.

on dark, overcast june evenings, 

floating through warm air,

the smell of petrichor, 

a perfume of distant rain blanketing you.

curtains caught in the breeze, fluttering like dancing phantoms,

the trees holding their arms high over our heads, 

fingers, branches entwined like lovers. 

a year lost, 

then another,

baby teeth and bicycle rides, 

thin wrists and bloody knees.

the rotting fruit between my legs. 

i’m alone again and this time, this time i love it.

it is trying to escape,

i think

as i see the bones underneath

stretching my mother’s skin. 

jutting out from the flesh that bore me, 

the womb in which i once resided,

it is trying to escape.

i can smell the death on her

and i know it is close. 

but i cannot see her

and i cannot hear her voice.

in my eyes

the after-image of the umbilical cord snaps

and i see myself, covered in blood and viscera

crawling,

crawling,

crawling.

i do not belong to her,

and she has never loved me.

so why 

am i 

so

terrified?

Thinking about you makes me feel as full and complete as a midwinter moon, as ripe and plump as a perfect summer peach. There are no bad things when you are by my side–just the electricity of your hand in mine, like the remnants of a million stars coalescing into one, perfect point of light.
