100 years \ life moves so effortlessly when you’re not the one living in it. a distant memory \ is not so distant when it keeps hold of all your thoughts. a brutal battle \ you still remember the pain. fighting so desperately to live \ flinging your own broken body to survive. you can still hear the s.o.s. message ringing in your head \ ringing & ringing & ringing until everything faded to pitch black darkness.
devoid of life \ you had no emotion to feel for you had mistakenly burned them all to a crisp. your lungs , bones , heart \ they became so hollow after your pride left you along with the fortress you made of yourself. you have become nothing \ then again you already have been. you feel like crying \ have you already forgotten ? ghosts can’t cry.
but you kept trying , didn’t you ? if you had a heart left in you \ you would have been in tears by now. your only reaction to her comforting words was a very grim look in your eyes & a voice that no longer held any pride. ❝ & i should have tried harder. ❞
