We’re missing the point!!!
This is what I think black people miss when we're faced with political issues. Every time political adversity come our way we resort to marching and protesting because we look back and see how it worked 50 years ago. Ok, thats a fair point but you miss WHY they were marching 50 years ago. They were marching for the right to VOTE. They had no voice in the political process so marching and civil disobedience was all they could do.
This is what we miss.
Once we got the right to vote MARCHING AND PROTESTING BECAME OBSOLETE! It happens all the time. Tools and upgrades come out everyday rendering their predecessors obsolete. This is no different. To be honest, in the minds of our predecessors THAT WAS THE POINT!
They marched to not have to MARCH AGAIN.
