Remi stood in the dark backyard, clutching her beer and desperately trying to find anyone she knew. She was used to standing alone awkwardly at parties, but standing alone awkwardly at a party dressed as a human plant was another thing entirely. It took feeling out of place to a whole new level. As a stranger pulled out a guitar and started playing, she decided she’d had enough of the outdoors and to try her luck inside. Turning around a bit too abruptly, she nearly took off someone’s head with the fake leaves of her costume. “Shit, that keeps happening,” she muttered, looking at the stranger apologetically. “I’m so sorry. Please tell me there isn’t any permanent damage done.” @slchat​

Heather walked up the drive with her daughter, Easter, on her hip and rang the door bell. Moments before the door opened Easter started to fuss and whinge, at just under 7 months old, she had entered the teething stage and often had bright red cheeks as a result. The mother reached into her pocket and pulled out a pumpkin shaped teether and handed it to her daughter, just as the door opened. 

“Trick or treat!“ Heather beamed.

THE TRICK OR TREAT WHEEL

Step right up ladies and gentlemen, and try your hand at the prize wheel! Will you get a treat for your efforts, or will lady luck play a trick on you? Put your fortune to the test, but be warned: the wheel is not always your friend…

OOC: Some of you may remember this from the 90′s party. For the new folks, here’s a little mini-event we’ve whipped up for you all, consisting of a wheel (much like this one) that characters can spin. The outcomes will either be prizes to grab or events that will happen to your character, both good and bad!

HOW THIS ALL WORKS:

If you'd like to participate, either like this post or drop the names of your characters (if you have more than one) that you want to spin the wheel!

We will spin the wheel for each character (completely at random), and drop the outcomes in future posts as the event goes on.

Optional: we’d love to see you incorporate these into your threads, starters, or anything else you wish! You can even write up drabbles or self paras, make an #slsocial post about it — whatever you wish!

If your character lands an unfortunate event, do not worry. The outcome won’t be too disastrous and most likely won’t land your character in hospital. In fact, a lot of these outcomes are somewhat open ended, so ultimately you get a say in how it plays out.
