We are ridiculously hyped to bring you a very special guest at Playhouse: the March edition. It's the one and only Victor Ebuwa from Big Brother 5!
If you want an all-night-long dance to chart pop, RnB, hip-hop, indie, synth-pop, UKG, electro and whatever else, you've come to the right place. Girls Aloud, Pulp, Kanye West, Refused, Sean Paul, Talking Heads, Artful Dodger, George Michael, Robyn, Rihanna, Destiny's Child, Beastie Boys, Metronomy - expect the unexpected.
Victor Ebuwa is anyone in their right mind's favourite Big Brother contestant of all time, and he warns that he'll be getting embarrassingly drunk after his DJ set. So get excited... (It's also our very own Natalie's birthday, so make sure you buy her shots all night)
Scorcher - I Don't Care ft. Loick Essien [Produced By Slic Vic]
With the imminent Christmas release of Simply The Best 3 (the third volume of his successful Simply The Best series), Scorcher presents his fans with this gift, a visual for the Loick Essien featuring I Don't Care.
In the UK, many artists struggle to solidify their lane, simply because the record labels demand one thing, and the urban fanbase that put you on that platform desire another. With Scorcher, I feel he was on the right path, with a combination of street-influenced anthems, and the more introspective favourite records (such as Dear Diary). As an artist, it is extremely frustrating to remain trapped in either lane, and that was evident as he put out quality records catering to each fanbase, from the street life, club songs, records for the ladies & motivational anthems, Scorcher tested all shores, but this consistency was seen as the opposite by the fickle fans. Fast forward, a couple freestyles & mixtapes later, and you have a free Scorcher, more composed and care-free, redefining his style & sound. Thus you have the quality record that is I Don't Care, a synth-friendly, emphatic record that the ladies will gravitate towards whilst men can appreciate. Produced by Slic Vic, the two previously showed promise on the record Right Now, so it is a no-brainer for the two to create something so refreshing, in where he does not have to compromise his style, with his street bravado balancing well with Loick's presence, with his unmistakable vocals, really providing the depth between an average and good song. It sounds like a good pattern after the release of the fan-favourite It's All Love (featuring Talay Riley), it will definitely have fans (and doubters) intrigued to hear what's next from the undeniable talent.
Simply The Best 3 will be available for download 25th December (Click to pre-order)
